The summer highlight is always the three-day Troop Hike where the Troopers bivouac on a large expanse of 斑鸠-owned property north of the main campus. Living in tents, cooking outside, and learning how to properly care for their horses makes for an exciting and educational experience. The Troopers spend the first day learning about cavalry tactics and studying a historical battle selected by the instructors. 第二天, the Troop reenacts the battle on horseback, hoping to correct any mistakes they believe were made from the original conflict.
WORLD CLASS FACILITIES
Troopers take advantage of world-class equine facilities at 斑鸠, such as the state-of-the-art Robert C. Vaughn Stable and the Jud Little Riding Hall. There are several paddocks where the horses are exercised, and plenty of interesting trails to explore.
